JHCP – Jeffery Hale Community Partners
For the next two years, Jeffery Hale Community Partners (JHCP) places concerted efforts towards an updated Public Health Action Plan to be disseminated by Spring 2017.
Efforts also focus on Special Needs to (a) support the SNACS Program which provides activities and support for children, teens and young adults with special needs, and support the new CLC at Everest Elementary School, (b) organize a Forum for parents, siblings and educators, (c) participate in the Transition école vie active (TÉVA) committee, and (d) maintain activities promoting autonomy for young people with special needs. The JHCP Volunteer Bureau will support these clients and their objectives.
In addition, JHCP will also implement, maintain and consolidate prevention and health promotion activities for vulnerable youth in collaboration with Central Québec School Board and its Healthy School Approach agents in various schools, Be active Québec, local Community Learning Centres, and Cégep Champlain Saint-Lawrence. Activities include the Suicide Prevention Sentinel program, Sexual Abuse Prevention program, the Mosaïk project, Quebec High School’s Health Survey of High School Students (2d edition), and a Community Cooking project.
