Region 1 – Bas-Saint-Laurent

Heritage Lower Saint Lawrence

This project helps HLSL reach out to the ESC of the region through the multiplication of services, communications strategies and improved information accessibility. Three important services are the focal points of a strategy that will have a structuring effect on partnerships and is complementary to NPI:

  1. The Heritage LSL resource center and bilingual municipal library will work on youth literacy via NPI, and construct via HPP, in partnership with CSSS professionals and l’Agence, a brand new regional Health-wellness documents collection available free of charge through all the Réseau-biblio affiliated municipal libraries in the region.
  2. Senior Hot Lunches: In Métis-sur-Mer, gatherings will offer a bilingual, healthy meeting place where one can meet other seniors and feel less isolated, as well as meet various health, wellness and safety professionals,
  3. Improving the NPI Network’s health communications tools and resources: this project marks the return of the Think Healthy quarterly, optimizing of communications work tools, revamping info distribution and content strategies and improving displays.

Vulnerable clientele such as seniors, youth and people with chronic or mental illnesses are particularly targeted by this project, with a universal service delivery focus to avoid stigmatization within such a small community.
