The Cummings Centre is a multidimensional community centre that meets the unique and changing needs of adults age 50 and over, both ﬁt and frail. Cummings delivers value to its members by offering a wide array of social, ﬁtness, recreational and cultural programs as well as volunteer opportunities and social services. All are designed to enhance the quality of life of each individual within a warm and welcoming community environment. Building on its Jewish heritage, Cummings embraces people from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Adapted programming is also available providing innovative art, fitness and social programs for individual’s recovery from surgery, with mobility problems and movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke, MS, aphasia and other conditions.
Our volunteer corps of 850, ranges from 12-99 years of age. Volunteers are involved in all aspects of Agency life and are instrumental to the vibrancy and growth of the Centre.
Our Social Services Department aims to enhance the quality of life of older adults and their families through the provision of a full spectrum of programs and services that support aging with dignity and maximizing independence.
