Required Skills and Experiences: Accounting and bookkeeping experience Experience with Sage and QuickBooks software Experience with working autonomously and taking initiative Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail Bilingualism (French and English), an advantage. Responsibilities- as Management of bookkeeping: Complete and accurate bookkeeping, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and filed. Invoice Entry: Enter supplier and customer invoices into the accounting system in an accurate and timely manner. Record of Transactions: Record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments and receipts. Validate and enter employee and special event expense accounts. Bank reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records. Tax returns: Prepare and submit federal and provincial tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Budget updates: Participate in updating and monitoring budgets, providing regular reports on variances from forecasts. Key functions: Manage all aspects of the accounting function. Assist staff in other departments with basic accounting questions and problems. Ensure the implementation and monitoring of internal controls. Update and improve the effectiveness of accounting procedures and software. Perform month-end closing process. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports. Support the annual budget process and monthly forecasts. Participate in annual audit process. Assist with special reporting and analysis projects. Perform other related tasks.
