The presenter uses the Occupational Therapy Model of Person-Environment-Occupation to illustrate how individuals can enhance their safety and comfort while aging in place. Additionally, the presentation examines potential adaptations to improve overall quality of life for those choosing to age in their own environments. MScOT(A), Kinatex Sports Physio West Island Talya Abran-Bromley is an occupational therapist who graduated from the applied Master’s in Occupational Therapy at McGill University in 2015. She is currently working in a private clinic- Kinatex Sports Physio in the West Island of Montreal primarily with injured workers or with individuals who have had motor vehicle accidents, although she also works in mental health Occupational Therapy. Talya also enjoys working with seniors and animates a senior’s group weekly where she has covered topics such as Fall Prevention, mental health in aging, and also incorporates cognitive, fine motor and gross motor activities to her weekly sessions.
